Last Week's Picks: 7-4-1
Last Week's Locks: 2-1
Season Record: 21-17-2
The game of football is all about respondng to adversity. That's exactly what I did following a poor Thanksgiving showing! That push between the Bills and Eagles hurts (pun not intended) for the locks, but still a strong showing overall in Week 12! Some coaching changes to make note of this week. I tend to lean towards a team that makes a change the week following. The games down the line tend to be more of the same prior to the firing. The culture shock is good for a week or two though.
What does that mean for Bryce Young and the Panthers? Will the Redskins defense show up? Will the Lions respond to an upsetting Thanksgiving performance? We shall see! Week 13 NFL Picks coming at ya!
Chargers (-5.0) @ Patriots

The Patriots are a disaster. Their offense more than anything else. 25th in total offense. 2nd to last in scoring offense (somehow). Losers of 4 straight in which they haven't scored more than 20 points. They've been held to single digits in the most recent 2. The Patriots and Coach Belichick are attempting to set football back to its inception. I wouldn't be shocked if we saw some triple option with Malik Cunningham at this point. It is flat out awful in Foxboro right now.
Road favorites in New England for the past 2 decades were unheard of. When this did happen you'd be crazy to take them. Now it seems like you'd be crazy not to. I'm not a huge Chargers guy. Especially considering their league worst total defense. This Patriots' offense is THAT BAD though. Chargers. Lock it!
Eagles (+3.0) vs 49ers

A 10-1 team with a great track record of big wins is a 3-point dog at home? What in the world is this!? I know I picked against the Eagles and was almost right last week. I really like what San Fran has been doing too don't get me wrong. They could even still win this and Philly cover.
I can't pick against Jalen Hurts right now. The way he carries himself. The way he leads. His stoic demeanor. He has an edge. The IT factor. I'd even say some "Tom Brady" to him. Making them underdogs at home with a leader like this is a mistake. Eagles, at the very least, cover.
Panthers (+3.0) @ Buccaneers

This year hasn't been kind to Bryce Young and the Panthers. In the long run that will most likely remain true too. Not this week though. The emotional charge a team gets after a head coach is let go is undeniable. Whether they're playing better because of a toxic coach exiting or playing for a coach they thought was wrongfully let go, it triggers something.
It's a culture shock to a team that needs it. On top of the firing of Frank Reich it is a divisional matchup. It's lined up to be an NFC South blood bath. A blood bath for the viewers that is. It won't be pretty, but the Panthers win and cover.
